Sharing my world, one frame at a time.

Oh, Jessie, how I miss you so…

This past week, David duChemin and I spent a few days catching up and adventuring with Jessie.  Our choices were limited by rain and more rain, so we made the best of our time by starting out at The Pinnacles National Monument.

It was cold, but mostly dry, so we set up Jessie’s accoutrements and just relaxed, drank beer, some wine and some scotch for good measure.  The following day we took a spectacular drive through the Santa Lucia Mountains to the coast where Carmel greeted us with more crappy weather, but, also more good wine.  From there we snaked up Hwy. 1 looking for locations to shoot some and to camp, but rain forced us back to Mountain View.  We didn’t do any serious photography, but I did manage to take a few snapshots along the way.  Jessie is quite the gal, I hope you all get a chance to meet her someday.

  1. I’m so glad you got to be part of this adventure, even for a few days. It’s a shame the weather was so dreary, but it sounds like you guys compensated for the moisture outside by taking plenty of liquids internally. Good thinking. I got to meet David at the tweet-up in San Francisco, and frankly a few hours in an Irish pub is more my speed than several soggy days camping. I’ll be following Jessie with great interest!

    • You know, it was fun either way. The goal was more to just hang out anyway, and that we did! Glad you got to go to the Tweetup.

  2. Ya, Jessie is one well dressed lady. I like the “tom boy” side of her too. She’s not afraid of any mud or rain.

The beads on the rear view mirror are interesting. I wonder what the story behind those are.

Chris – The beads are something I collect as I travel. The wooden ones come from Ladakh, India, the red ones are made of stone and bought from a lovely Rendille lady in northern Kenya. I have a thing for beads, so Jessie does too! :-)

Dorothy – Was so great to meet you!

Jeffrey – We’ll have to do it again, brother. Way too much fun. But I’m only just getting dried out so i won’t be too soon back to the west coast!
